Summer is (almost) here, and we couldn’t more more excited about our course lineup this year! From river rescue to trail skills to climbing days in the sun, this season is built for progression, confidence, and getting into the mountains more often. Whether you’re brand new or looking to level up, there’s a course just for you.
Swiftwater Rescue (2-day)
Our ACA Swiftwater Rescue course is designed for anyone who spends time on moving water and wants the skills to stay prepared. Over two immersive days, you’ll learn how to recognize and avoid common river hazards, execute self rescue techniques, and respond to real rescue scenarios.
Training covers everything from hydrology and hazard identification to swimmer recovery, rope systems, and rescue PFD use. You’ll practice both individually and as part of a team, with an emphasis on fast decision making in dynamic environments.
This course is a great fit for river rats and professionals alike.


Intro to Mountain Biking
New to mountain biking or looking to get back into it? This full-day course focuses on the skills that matter most: body positioning, braking, shifting, and overall control.
You’ll start with a skills assessment and targeted coaching before taking it to the trails around Summit County. The goal is simple: ride more confidently, efficiently, and have a lot more fun doing it.
The best part about this course is the experience you gain riding on the awesome trail systems local to areas like Breckenridge, Frisco and Silverthorne.

Intermediate/Advanced MTB Skills (2-day)
Ready to push your riding further? This two-day progression course is built for intermediate to advanced riders who want to ride smoother, faster, with more control…and have tons of fun doing it!
Expect personalized coaching and immediate on-trail application as you work on cornering, drops, wheel lifts, and more technical terrain.
You’ll also dial in bike setup and learn essential on-trail maintenance to keep things running smoothly and build your confidence.


Youth MTB Camp (5 half day sessions)
Our youth mountain bike camp runs Monday through Friday with half-day sessions divided by age group designed to build skills, confidence, and stoke. Each day blends instruction with real trail riding around Breckenridge or the Frisco Peninsula.
Future shredders will learn everything from bike basics and trail etiquette to climbing, descending, cornering, and navigation. It’s structured, supportive, and always focused on keeping things fun while building a strong foundation on the bike.
AM Sessions (6-9 year olds)
PM Sessions (10-13 year olds)
Intro to Rock Climbing
Spend a day climbing at one of our favorite local crags. We’ll meet in Silverthorne or at the climbing area, get geared up, and head out for a short approach to the rock.
Your guide will set routes tailored to your ability, whether it’s your first time or you’re ready for more technical climbs. Expect a mix of movement tips, technique coaching, and plenty of time on the wall.
This course is focused on building confidence and keeping it fun!


Backcountry Navigation – NEW this year
Build the skills to confidently navigate in the backcountry with this two part course covering both analog and digital systems.
You’ll start with map and compass fundamentals, learning how to read topographic maps, take bearings, and move through terrain. Then layer in digital tools like CalTopo for route planning and real-world application. The course wraps up with scenario-based exercises integrating both approaches in the field.
Take one module or both for a discounted rate, this brand new course is sure to be a popular choice for those hiking, backpacking, skiing, or hunting in the backcountry.
